Using the site

The site is free and needs no account. Please use it lawfully and do not try to disrupt it, overload it or get around its limits. We may change, pause or withdraw any part of the site or the ChatGPT app at any time.

Your options and images

There are no accounts or profiles, and we never receive your images. Apart from some of your room options, remembered in your own browser, we do not keep data about you; anonymous visit counts and short-lived technical details are described in the privacy notice.

We do not store any images. Pictures you choose are used in your browser while the page is open, so you will need to choose them again each visit, and you should save any photo or preview you want to keep to your own device. We cannot recover images or photos for you. Only use pictures you have the right to use.

No warranty of accuracy

Previews, rendered photos, repeat checks and any pictures made from them, including AI room inspiration made in ChatGPT, are visual approximations to help you imagine a room. We make no warranty that they are accurate. Colours, pattern scale, texture, lighting, furnishings and fit may differ from the real products and from your own room, and screens show colour differently.

Roll widths and sizes shown in the tools are preview settings, not product specifications, and a repeat check is a visual inspection, not a guarantee of a seamless repeat. Check the product details on Contrado, and order a sample where available, before you buy.

The site and the ChatGPT app are provided as they are and as available. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law that cannot be limited, or excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Purchases

My Drawing Room does not sell anything. Shop links take you to Contrado or Spoonflower, which sell Ruth Designs products and handle prices, checkout, payment, delivery and returns under their own terms.

Ruth’s designs

The patterns in the catalogue are designed by Ruth Heasman and remain her copyright. You are welcome to save and share photos you make with them for your own, non-commercial use. Please ask before using them in any other way.

Changes and law

We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the time it is published. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
